SpeedX & Krav Maga vs. The Gym

When compared to traditional gym memberships, Krav Maga and SpeedX are more effective workouts for weight loss, muscle development and increased endurance. Three main reasons why the type of workout at Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX are more effective: One; they are group workouts, two; they vary constantly and three; the environment promotes constant learning and progression of one’s skill set.

When compared to traditional gym memberships, Krav Maga and SpeedX are more effective workouts for weight loss, muscle development and increased endurance.  Three main reasons why the type of workout at Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX are more effective: One; they are group workouts, two; they vary constantly and three; the environment promotes constant learning and progression of one’s skill set.

Countless studies have a clear link between social support and exercise, proving that group fitness classes tend to be more effective than traditional workouts.  The camaraderie from the group adds the accountability factor to show up to class and the support helps to push through intense workouts.  The workouts at Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX make for a great group experience because the challenge and intensity of the exercises will bring group members closer together by supporting each other through their demanding, yet enjoyable workout.  However, an individuals level of progression and improvement is able to advance due to the specific programming designed for a group environment that simultaneously benefits the individual.  With traditional memberships, there is no coach or instructor to encourage you to work harder.  After a while, individuals may stop seeing results because they are not varying their workout routine in addition to not pushing themselves to their full potential.  There is also a likelihood of getting bored at traditional gyms because it can be a lonely experience.  If going to the gym becomes a negative experience, there is a high likelihood of not going to or quitting the gym.  Traditional gym memberships are less effective due to the lack of accountability and can impair or even stop the improvement that is ultimately trying to be achieved.

Training techniques are constantly varied at Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX.   Krav Maga Unyted promotes safety in training and drills provide maximum safety to students by using protective equipment along with the use of reasonable force.  Students learn to defend against a variety of attacks and are taught to counter in the quickest and most efficient way possible.

Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self defense in the shortest possible time.  Members will learn to defend against common chokes, grabs and bearhugs as well as weapons such as guns, knives and sticks and then build their knowledge base from there.  Just as important, being taught to function during the high stress and shock of a sudden, violent encounter is key and is part of the rigorous training at KMU.  Tested on the battlefield and in the streets, Krav Maga’s practical approach to self defense will add confidence in ones ability to defend themselves.  In addition, when combined with the SpeedX training, members will improve their endurance and muscular development.

The SpeedX programming is constantly varied as well.  Our athletes are introduced to a different workout every day they come in to train.  At Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX our members are constantly challenged to advance their physical fitness levels as well as their knowledge and practice of Krav Maga.

Members will not just receive a membership as compared to when they join a regular gym.  In addition to the membership to practice at the facility, Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX members will benefit in a community that enables room for growth.  The culture at Krav Maga Unyted and SpeedX encompasses a positive environment where one is constantly challenged and driven to advance their self defense skill set as well as their overall athletic ability and stamina.

SpeedX is mixture of high intensity movements that are constantly varied in movement type and workout programming to keep your body always challenged.  SpeedX workouts consist of a combination of: interval training, functional movements, weights and cardio.  Krav Maga is a practical self defense which is a great workout as well as useful for the real world and consists of: punches, elbows, kicks, focus mitts, thai pads and realistic training drills aimed to keep your body and mind strong.
